How To Treat Bruise Around Ankle And Inner Leg At The Site Of Injury?

Injured front of my leg with a deep puncture wound 12 days ago, badly bruised and puncture not healed as yet. Went to ER told to keep clean, use neo or polysporin, let close up. Yesterday noticed brusing around my ankle and inside of leg around ankle bone. Around bruising on leg where injury is is hard to touch. Should I be concerned?
