How To Treat Burning Sensation In Vagina Inspite Of Using Vagifem?

I have been using Vagifem since March 2007, first 25 mcg. twice a week then the does was lowered to 10 mcg. for problems with menopause. I still have irritation (burning) of the exterior vagina tissues everyday. I have told my doctor. She said to use Vaseline but this does not help either. Vagisil ointment does nothing.What can I do? When I first started menopause, I was put on Premarin Vaginal cream but my doctor was afraid of cancer and stopped it. It was very effective.Thank you
