How To Treat Cysts Behind Uterus Despite Having Paragard IUD?

Hello, I have had the Paragard iud for almost 2 years and I ve been experiencing all sorts of problems this last month..My current doctor said I have bacterial diagnosis and possibly cysts behind my uterus, he wants me to keep the iud in and start the pill but my question is.. if I am still super inflamed and hurting should I get the iud removed and just go with the pill? I had a similar experience with my first one and the problems stopped when I had it removed..
