How To Treat Diabetes Leading To Weakness And Fatigue Inspite Of Using Metformin?

My mom is a diabetic patient n high blood pressure too.recently she got diabeties....she is metformin 500 mg twice a day.actually there is no family history but she got recently ...she is feeling weakness n fatigue n always body pain swelling so she is taking calcium tablets..how to overcome weakness???? She is fond of ricr too much so can she eat daily....wat fruits she can eat .....her rbs is 103 now n post lunch is 200 earlier it was 174 rbs n post lunch was 250......
