How To Treat Discolouration Of Eyes Due To Head Banging?

My daughter received a black eye when her older sister accidentally head butted her. She had an immediate black eye with swelling. A month later she still has a little brushing under the eye that doesn't seem to want to clear up. Is there anything we can do?
