How To Treat Ear Pain And Swelling?

My niece has problem in ear since last one year and we had consult the ENT specialist in Sambalpur and as per his dignosis it was due to cold. This month she had again the same problem and this time he had doubting any damage inside the ear which is not visible. In the symptoms one of her nerve swell towards the ear and we had already consulted an skin specialist for this. She is 6 years old and continously feeling the pain and couldn't sleep in the night. Now we are in a dillema what to do, pls advise
