How To Treat Heat Lumps?

I have been plagued by heat lumps over the last couple of weeks. Patches of them appear in various places of my body for a few minutes, then disappear as quickly as they appeared. They appear to get worse at night. It is not because I am particularly hot as I have some now sitting under a rather cool air conditioning unit!
