How To Treat Loss Of Appetite Caused Due To Cough?

My two years daughter has cough since last three days n I started giving her levolin. Now she doesn't cough too often but when she does her chest could be heard n she refuses to take meals. Now my question is that is all this normal or I should consult a doctor ( which I don't like as they prescribe a pile of Medicines antibiotics and all that)
