How To Treat Numbness And Burning Sensation Of Foot Due To Twisting?

I twisted my foot while relaxing in a chair. Felt a sharp pain going from foot to calf. The sharp pain subsided after a few minutes, but for two days I experience discomfort in my foot including a little numbness and some burning sensation. What do you think is the problem, and how can I treat it? I am able to walk, though. Thank you for your assistance.
