How To Treat One Who Passes Out After Being Hit On Head In Alcoholic State?

Hello. My boyfriend just hit his head. He had quite a lot to drink and fell out of my truck and hit it on a tree trunk. There was a bit of blood from the cut but i think its quite small. He then went inside and passed out (from the alcohol). Should i be waking him often to be sure he doesnt have a concussion?
