How To Treat Pain And Redness Of Ankle Caused Due To A Injury?

Hi, I got hit in the ankle today with a metal scooter from a child I work with at a nursery. My ankle was red and hurt, carried on walking on it as normal and used a cold compress to reduce bruising. Now it's a couple of hours later and it's swelled up and I keen getting a weird sensation up my leg and near my foot, like pins and needles. But ankle doesn't hurt to touch, my ankle a still red now though
