How To Treat Pain In Spine And Neck As Fal Down The Stairs?

Yes my boyfriend just fell down the stairs. He fell and hit his head and back. His spine and neck hurts. At the bottom of his spine to the left it feels like a bone is giving sharp pains. he feels hot and cold. what should I do? can he just try to sleep?
