How To Treat Pain In Uvula After Having A Hysterectomy?

i had a hysteroscopy and dnc this a.m., the anesthisiologist told me she had troubles inserting my tubes and cut my uvula. it is very sore ti swallow in general and when eating. how can this be treated? i have taken my prescribed pain pills from my doctor for the surgical area, but the pain is still in the area of the uvula.
