How To Treat Pain Over The Left Eye?

i have had a pain over my left eye for a few days, like a headache but just over the eye, i took painkillers today and about half hour later i felt light headed and felt a crackling over the pain then no pain, then a sharp pain more crackling then the pain went altogether, but was still there if i coughed?
