How To Treat Pain,contractions And Vaginal Swelling During Pregnancy?

i am 35 weeks pregant. My mucus plug came out a few days ago and i have been in constant pain ever since. Today i have been in more pain and discomfort. i have had some contractions today . i have like 5 or 6 already. when they happen it is really hard for me to breathe. i also have some vaginal swelling is this normal? not sure if i should go to hospital or not
