How To Treat Painful Lump On Shin And Swollen Ankle Due To An Injury?

Hi. I was using a chair to get something off the top shelf (stupid, I know). Anyway the chair moved causing me to slip hitting and scraping the front of my leg and shin from below the knee down. I have a lump on my shin and it is very painful to touch and aches. It is also warmer than the rest of my leg. There is some minor swelling mostly in the ankle area and today, for the first time, I noticed bruising going down the inside of my ankle. This all happened last Saturday.Should I be concerned?
