How To Treat Perplish Nail Caused By Smashing Against Door?

I am woried about my fingernail, it was slammed into a door and now it is purplish red. how do i treat it. I dont want to do the paper clip way. How can i treat it. do i leave it and wait for the nail to grow and let the blood moove and come out? What Do I Do. Help Me Please
