How To Treat Persistent Headache And Fever Inspite Of Taking Ibuprofen And Acetaminophen?

I have had a continuous headache for the last 4 days, plus a fever ranging from 100.3 to 101.8. I feel weak, have no energy, am light, smell & hearing sensitive, no appetite. The fever & headache will come right back in 4/5 hours after taking Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen so I try to take my temperature before the 4 hours is up as I m just freezing when it goes up. I do not have any congestion, cough or other cold symptoms, twice I ve broken out in a major sweat, the 1st time it lasted for 2 hours and the 2nd time I don t know how long because I was asleep & woke up to a wet pillow & bed. My doctor called in a prescription for Methylprednisolone 4 started in at 2pm today. It has not helped the fever or headache and I m wondering have I just not taken it long enough for it to work?
