How To Treat Planters Wart On Bottom Of Foot?

I have planters wart on bottom of foot that became irritated and sore after picking at the skin. I now see a red line on the top of my foot. The soreness has subsided and i have had a tetnus shot in the last couple of years. Do i need to be concerned about blood poisoning? There is no swelling.
