How To Treat Psychotic Break Despite Taking Zyprexa?

I was informed my 94 year old mother appears to be having a psychotic break. She is hospitalized. No urinary infection. the doctors in Boston took her off a steroid. she has not responded to the medication zyprexa. Mom did experience much trauma throughout her life. Can previous trauma contribute to her condition?
