How To Treat Puncture In My Ear Drum?

hi Doctor,
i have got punctured in my ear drum about 3 months ago
and had a fluid drained for first two weeks until out side the ear. later i was followed with a doctors treatment which resulted me in slow down my draining of fluid to a extent but not completely previously the fluid comes out of my ear but after my treatment of 1 month the drain of fluid has stopped such that it doesn't get excreted out side but very little amount fluid is being excreted and that also i can find when i went near my doctor for check up he cleans up my ear which shows a very little.
what is the solution for this problem only surgery can cure it or can we cure it by using medicines
please suggets me the best way
and also i just want to know whether it small or big problem
