How To Treat Scalp Pain After Having A Blow Dry For Hair?

I am 21 years old,female....Recently i went to blowdry my hair ...well the beautician placed the blowdrier so close that i cudn't bear the heat.now that area is really paining ..I don't know whether it has affected my brain cells..i am really scared, that something serious might have happened to my scalp ..i am also scared that it will it affect my hair growth in that area....pls advice
