How To Treat Severe Leg Pain And Discomfort Due To Ankle Crack?

Hello,Around 5 weeks ago , i fell over and i heard my ankle crack. I was lying on the floor and couldn t move it. I iced it straight away and went to the doctors a following 2 days later. I was advised to be on crutches for a week or so and to go get x rays so that i did and i went back to the doctors the day after and told me that i need to stay on crutches and if i can not walk on it properly in another week then i may have to get an MRI. I am off crutches now but when i sit down cross legged it starts hurting and is very uncomfortable. I can walk and run perfectly on it but i find it difficult to move around.What do you think i have done to my ankle? What do i do?
