How To Treat Severe Muscle Cramps In Calves?

I am 25 weeks pregnant and having “Charlie horses” on and off in my calves. Tonight I noticed my right calf having a quarter size bruise and a couple tiny bruises around that. It is sore and tender, but I haven't noticed swelling. Curious if Charlie horses can cause bruising like that.
