How To Treat Severe Pain On Left Side Of Neck And Tongue?

Hi...ive been having for the last 5 days or so, an ache and throbbing on the left side of my neck... feels like it is in a vein or something. Its not muscular for sure. It also feels like my tongue on the left side is swollen... unless the swelling is coming from my neck.
