How To Treat Severe Stomach Pain Caused Due To Gastroenteritis?

My five year old son was admitted to hospital last Tuesday with vomiting. He was treated for gastroenteritis with an ivi. He was discharged on Thursday but still has episodes of excruciating stomach pain. Could this be his glands and how long will it last?
