How To Treat Severe Throat Pain Causing Difficulty To Swallow?

I have been having very servere very bad pain in the left side of my throat area it is burning throbbing hard to swallow and it feels like it s going to explode at any time I cry all the time lately because the pain is unbearable and I had my toncills removed in April of 1995 I m scared to go to the hospital what do I do?
