How To Treat Sleeplessness And Redness On Body Caused Due To Steroid Injection?

I received a steroid injection for knee pain over three weeks ago. I continue to have side affects - sleeplessness and a rash type of redness on different parts of my body. My primary care Doctor has prescribed a combination anxiety and antihistamen drug.I take before bed time. It works some of time but very effective so far.
