How To Treat Soreness Of Shoulders And Hips Inspite Of Taking Ibuprofen?

For the past 2 months, I have had sore shoulders & sore hips. Also the back of my thighs have a burning sensation when sitting in one position for longer that 15 minutes. My doctor has ruled out rheu. arthritis.I am taking 8oomg Ibuprofen 3 times a day & it helps with the pain but if I miss a dose, the pain dramatically increases. What kind of follow up should I have with my Dr?
