How To Treat Swelling And Pain In Knee Due To An Injury?

While at work this evening , a large plastic sink detached itself from the wall and fell on my leg/knee. My knee/leg is now deeply bruised and extremely stiff. I have had problems with this knee before , previous ligament tears. There is no swelling but it does hurt and it tingles, and is stiff like I ve had a cast on it.
