How To Treat Swelling Of Neck Glands And Soreness In Ear Caused Due To Bug Bite?

Hi,I am a 73 year old female who does not remember ever having chicken pox.I was in w. FL on March 8th and was bitten badly around the head by noseeums. I hurt my back on March 9th and then flew all day back to WA state. Tuesday I could barely walk, but got better over the next few days. Friday I awoke to swollen neck glands (very painful) and a sore right ear, which progressed to slightly raised red blotches on my head, which were quite itchy. I felt better for 2 days and now am very tired, sleeping alot and very itchy. I put it down to a severe allergic reaction, but a friend suggested shingles. I had tried to see my MD, but she had no openings until the end of April. Should I go to a walk-in?
