How To Treat Torn Penile Adhesion In An Infant?

My 8 month old son has a penile adhesion that tore(?) today. Since my pediatrician was closed they told me to go the the ER. I was told to keep it clean, use Bacitracin to cover it after cleaning, with every diaper change. My question is how often should I change his diaper, especially at night?
