How To Treat Vaginal Itching And Spotting Like Brown Discharge?

hello, i have just started on the pill, well a week ago yesterday. and i had my period and was on and off all week. but my mom said this was normal due to my body needing to ajust to it. i have has really bad itching from my vagina and now i get brown discharge with what look like little bits in it, sorry to be so crude. but can anyone help im a little worried thanks
