Husband Aged 73, Stellar Heal Til 6 Mo. Ago, Finally

Husband aged 73, stellar heal til 6 mo. ago, finally had outpatient TURP 12/21. Home care nurse to help w/ catheter. About 24 hrs after began horrible spasms that only are getting worse. Dr is out of town til1/2 and apparently no one covering. Removal of cath per Dr to be Tu 12/27, staff says only Friday! (Experience shows tpstaff and dr are seldom on same page!) Sites suggest VesiCare, B & O suppositories. Not taking Hydrocodone but works against problematic bowel so taking acetomenophen. Any suggestions? (HHA super says go to Guidewell clinic...why bother if dr on call isnt available??). -Barbara
