Husband Experiencing Several Nerve And Muscle Pain On His Next/

Husband experiencing several nerve and muscle pain on his next/ shoulder area, mostly back upper shoulder areas. Second night this is happening. Seems to be chilled and unique able to move with out a lot of difficulty. Am applying hot and cold alternately. What else should I do?
