I I Came Down With A Case Of The Shingles,

I I came down with a case of the shingles, half way around my back to my stomach,. My doctor treated the virus with valtrex for seven days. I'm taking 2 ibuprofen 3 times / day, about 6 to eight hours between dosages, I'm having trouble sleeping because of the nerve pain. My doctor prescribed gabapentin, it doesn't help with the nerve pain at night. Would hydrocodone be a better choice for pain at night.
