I Always Have A Constant Cough At Night. Right When

I always have a constant cough at night. Right when Im starting to get ready for bed. I having even laid down yet. I have a albuterol inhaler that was prescribed to my husband. I just used it twice and haven't coughed since I used it. What do you think is going on? I was also going to start a z-pak.
