I Am 17 Years Old And I Have Been On

I am 17 years old and I have been on the Implanon implant since July 2014. I have been nonstop bleeding since the implant was put inside of me. I went to my local gynecologist and I was told that the bleeding it wasn't healthy and obviously the implant wasn't working for me. my mom said that I can either keep the Anthony in and keep bleeding or I have to get to an IUD. I looked up a lot of things that come with an IUD, and I'm not willing to go through the amount of pain that women do and the weight gain that they go through. Is there a pill I can take to counteract the bleeding?
