I Am 18 Years Old, I Have The Implanon In

I am 18 years old, I have the implanon in my left arm. I had it for 3 years and then I got it changed in 2014. Ever since I got it changed every single time I consume alcohol I get my period (medium heavy) for 2 weeks or just over. I've gone months without drinking alcohol and not 1 period, then as soon as I go out for a night out it happens the next day.
I'm concerned, please let me know if this is serious or not. Also in my family my mother and my grandfather have strong kidney problems, my grandfather has been on dialysis and has had a kidney transplant.
