I Am 19 Years Old. I Have Had Multiple Knee

I am 19 years old. I have had multiple knee surgeries on both knees since 14 and my left knee is getting bad to the point I am walking on a cane and can't do anything. My doctor wants to remove my knee cap but I am very skeptical about everything I have read about that procedure. I wanted to know about a knee replacement.
