Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 28 male - was a premie baby and had vp shunt at 2 months old. No problems with it until 4 years ago - dizziness - four shunt surgeries didn't solve dizziness - keppra medicine did. After surgeries (2 for staph infection from 1st surgery) - then had exhaustion - so was put on a cpap which seemed to help for short time. Currently will get sinus infections which mess with the cpap usage. But now clear and no longer on antibiotics. Am exhausted, body aches, insomnia in spite of using OTC sleep aids, and resting heart rate discovered this week of between 45 and 60. EKG was normal - waiting on bloodwork and halter EKG monitor next week...... specialists tend to try to solve with their specialty - so when MD is stymied - how do you pick a specialist or know a direction to go -----
