I Am 38 Weeks Pregnant And By Boyfriend Was Giving

I am 38 weeks pregnant and by boyfriend was giving me some perineal massage as he has on a few occasions now but today he said my vagina was very purple and that his fingers got uncomfortably hot from me.
Is this normal? Or could it be a sign of infection?
