I Am 38 Year Old Female And I Have Been

I am 38 year old female and I have been having problems with my cycles for a while now. Problems have been heavy bleeding, more pain than usual, last month was stop and go with heavy clotting and then last month nothing. No menstrual bleeding. I am due in my cycle to start again but do not feel like the pain I am feeling has to due with that. I do have a sonogram scheduled in two weeks but today I have started experiencing sharp pains in my left side lower back that is radiating into my left hip. Feel a lot of pressure and hurts more when I am walking or standing. Do I need to call my doctors office or just wait and see how this progresses? I dont want to seem like a worry wart.
