I Am 38wks Pregnant With A Little Girl. First Time

I am 38wks pregnant with a little girl. First time mom. I am only soft and my cervix is very high. Last Friday I blacked out after just doing some usual house hold chores at home. When I got to the hospital my heart rate was 130 and stayed that way for a while before eventually going down to 120. My daughters heart rate was running 148, but has dropped to 138 since mine has increased. My ob says that we will not induce or anything like that if I am not dialated. Everyone else who I speak with says that with my heart rate the way it is they would think that my ob would go ahead and deliver. So my question is why isn't my ob concerned?
