I Am 44 Yrs Old And Had The Paragard Fitted

I am 44 yrs old and had the paragard fitted in Aug -Sept of 1998, I just recently (Saturday early morning) pulled it out. The copper has faded to Black string which was easily washed off. I experienced blood upon removal, however it stopped, just to resume in the evening. I'm bleeding heavy with sometimes Severe Cramps with diarrhea. Is this normal? I don't have insurance, hence the need to come here and inquire.
