I Am 45 Years Old And Taking Thyronorm 50 Mg

I am 45 years old and taking thyronorm 50 mg daily in the morning since last 14 years. My parents were insulin dependent. My fasting sugar result is 154 and PP sugar is 188. Doctor has prescribed me Gluformin XL 500. Shall I have to take this medicine life long as thyronorm 50 mg. T3, T4 and TSH result is within normal range.
