I Am 47 And Soon To Be 48. I Had

I am 47 and soon to be 48. I had stopped get my period about 4 months ago and then in December I got my period, but it lasted for 3 weeks. It was a light flow for those three weeks. It stopped for one week and then it started again three days ago. It is a light flow again. I am NOT pregnant or is there even a chance of it. I am also obese. Is this the beginning of menopause or something more serious?
