I Am 49 Years Old And Iam Having Irregular Periods

I am 49 years old and iam having irregular periods . Two years back I had heavy bleeding and the doctor had done D and C saying I had some layer in the uterus. There was no fibroid or anything unusual. The scan also showed everything normal. But now I have heavy bleeding after two months of last period. I have taken tablet pause yesterday night and today morning . There is slight bleeding even now. Should I take more medication?
