I Am 50 Yr Old Female In Good Health. I

I am 50 yr old female in good health. I have no known allergies. My problem is I have very itchy dry ears. I must scratch them They flake big pieces of skin when I pick at them. Mineral Oil seems to help but I don't like that feeling either. What could be the cause and or solution? It's been happening for a couple of years now.
