I Am 53 Years Old. I Have Had Regular Periods

I am 53 years old. I have had regular periods until 3 months ago. I then missed a period. Then I had a period that was very light. 3 weeks ago I started to bleed and have not stopped. It is not heavy bleeding but I am passing clots. I am having some abdominal cramps that feel a lot like menstrual cramps. Could this be menopause? What other problems could it be? I had a pap done in Feb. 2016 and all was good. and have had my colonoscopy done and all was good.
